“It’s a really great initiative of young lawyers are really wanting to provide support to lawyers in Hong Kong, and to lawyers in China, raising difficult issues and really acting on important cases, and reminding us that lawyers are essential to wellbeing of our nation.
Lawyers are essential to the rule of law.
Independent lawyers are actually fundamental to the producing of justice.
And so I send all my good wishes to lawyers in Hong Kong, especially because these are difficult in challenging times and we are with you here in the United Kingdom.”

The 29 Principles is a UK-based organisation supporting lawyers facing human rights oppression and advocates for the rule of law in Hong Kong and China.
If you’re a lawyer or not, we couldn’t carry out our work without financial support. Through donating to us, you’d be helping us to carry out our training programmes, counselling sessions and providing aid grants.
