“Why be concerned about lawyers?
Well, something I call the multiplier effect.
If an authoritarian regime attacks a dissident or attacks someone who is purely innocent, they're just attacking that person.
But when they attack a lawyer, they are not just attacking the lawyer, but they are attacking all the people the lawyer represents. ”
DONATE NOW📌 29principles.uk/en/support-us
The 29 Principles is a UK-based organisation supporting lawyers facing human rights oppression and advocates for the rule of law in Hong Kong and China. If you’re a lawyer or not, we couldn’t carry out our work without financial support. Through donating to us, you’d be helping us to carry out our training programmes, counselling sessions and providing aid grants.
For this year, we wish to raise 🔆£45,000🔆 in order to maintain our projects in support lawyers. (Our current projects👉🏼 29principles.uk/en/contents/how-we-work)
The 29 Principles is a small non-profit organisation, registered in the UK, and entirely independent. As a small team, we have comparatively few organisational costs, meaning that a large part of your donation can go straight to supporting lawyers on the ground.
